TESTIMONIALS

  • Christie Wassell, Blue & Buck

“I would 100% recommend Meg! My husband and I started to have trouble with our two male labs randomly fighting after getting along for two years. We were frustrated and confused. That is when we turned to Meg! She was so quick with her reply and we were able to get in with her to begin the training. She was able to evaluate both dogs and gave us the explanation behind our dogs behaviors and the tips/tricks to deal with it going forward. I love that she uses positive training and teaches you the dog dialog. We have continually worked on the steps she gave us and our dogs have not had a fight since! We are thankful for her not only helping us through the process but actually explaining the "why" behind it all! I could keep going on about our positive experience, but i'll end it with if you want results go to Marigold Holistic Pet Care!”

  • Lynn Kurtz & Ruby

“My dog, Ruby, was so overstimulated that it was difficult to walk or play with her. She was constantly nipping at my sleeves and pant legs, rolling around and bolting while on-leash, and had uncontrolled 'zoomies' where she would come barreling at me full speed.

Meg did a great job spending time with Ruby and assessing just what Ruby needed. Meg was extremely helpful in teaching us appropriate calming signals and techniques. Meg gave me the tools to keep working with Ruby at home, and it has made a HUGE difference. Ruby is calmer and happier, and so am I. Our household is more harmonious. I highly recommend this compassionate trainer for you and your dog.”

  • Ali Anderson & Guinevere

“Megan really takes the time to help you understand the “why” behind the training techniques. She talks through some all-too-common training myths and mistakes to avoid. You can tell she is passionate about giving her clients all the tools to succeed in creating a mutually beneficial relationship between “owner” and doggo. We are really happy we booked a private session with her. We came away knowing more about the specific breed we adopted and having a better idea of how to work with our new dog to develop a great relationship. She also gave us some tips on ways to play with our working-breed dog to keep her engaged and fulfilled. We would absolutely recommend Marigold Holistic Pet Care to anyone wanting to learn how to have the best relationship with their four-legged family member, and we will definitely book more sessions in the future.”

  • Maura Rosenbaum, Nina, & Jake

“I have had several sessions with Megan with both of my dogs. She is so knowledgeable. I love that she explains why the dogs do what they do and gives me the tools to work on the behavior. It all makes sense! I needed the training more than the dogs. Lately I signed Jake up for the field trips and I went along too. Jake got lots of fun exercise and smelling/enrichment opportunities and I did too. I got to watch and learn how Megan handles him in a natural environment. He had a blast and I got lots of tips. Thank you Megan!”

  • Marc Lauber & Isla

“Had a private session with Megan to work with my Airedale Terrier Isla. Isla has some impulse control issues and Megan took the time to understand how I got Isla, her back ground and then she taught me how to work with Isla. In the short amount of time I have spent working on the technique's Megan taught me, Isla is responding in a very positive manner, waiting to look at me for direction and I can now look at her and calm her down.

We will be back in a few weeks to work on a few other things with Megan but I learnt a lot from Megan on the behavior of dogs and why they do certain things.

I 100% recommend Megan for any issues you might be experiencing with you dog.”

  • Shannon Mills, Boo Boo & Molly

“I have been looking for someone for quite some time to work with us and our 9 year old Morkie to help us figure out why she was nervous and aggressive towards us in the family and other dogs at times. After just spending a couple of hours in a private session with Meg and one of her dogs and our Boo she was able to teach me quite a bit about what the dogs were communicating with each other and us. It was incredibly interesting and eye opening!!! She noticed right away that our Boo is just really lacking in self confidence. We recently lost her two older sisters, which were also Golden’s. Meg has helped us better identify her body language and what her triggers may be and is working with us on building up her confidence and our trust/relationship. She’s pretty amazing! We’re looking forward to adding another Golden back into our family and know Meg can help us make that transition better for everyone! I also love that she looks at the wellness piece too and is so knowledgeable about our dogs whole system and what’s best for them nutritionally. So grateful to have found her!!”

  • Dave, Stacy, & Chance

“Our dog’s circle is so small, it consists of three people - the two of us, and Megan. Her knowledge of dog behavior allowed her to earn Chance’s trust and love, and allows us to go on vacation without worry.”

  • Brandi Quintiere & Roscoe

“When my sweet boy, Roscoe, was a year old he started becoming very reactive to stimulus whether we were going for a walk or around our yard. I reached out to Megan in desperation to try to figure out if it was aggressive behavior or if it was a bad habit he had developed that could be broken. Either way I was willing to put in the time with him to help him and his overall confidence improve. Luckily, after our first session with her she reassured me that he isn't being aggressive, but he had developed really bad manners. 🤣

    ……..

This took time, patience, and constant effort. But the most rewarding result was not him finally understanding. It was the comradery and bond that strengthened our relationship together between Roscoe and I. The more time I spent with him guiding him in the right direction to not outwardly react I got to observe and learn his body language more. I was able to understand and notice his mannerisms before he reacted. And by noticing his body language I was able to take the lead and control the situation guiding him towards his comfort zone keeping within his threshold. I was able to set him up for success by doing this and rewarding him with his good behavior and non reactiveness.

Overall, with her knowledge, positive reinforcement, experience, encouragement, and most importantly the pack walk service she provided Roscoe is now living his best life in the most comfortably way. I HIGHLY recommend Megan if you're struggling with your furry best friend with behaviors. She will help you understand why so you can help build a better consistent behavior. I also HIGHLY recommend attending her pack walks when you and your dog are ready. She will help you set your dog and yourself up for success!!

Thank you Megan for all that you do, but more importantly for caring so much for our fur babies and helping set them up for success!!”
